It is our joy to present you the Autumn master classes in line with European thinking.   The course will take place in the beautiful seaside town of  Weston-super-mare.  Lead designers Geoffrey Hughes and Barbara Shakespeare have been dedicating this hands-on course for florists, refreshers, or  someone who enjoy creative floral designs.   The school 2014 will focus on primarily funeral designing, wedding presentations of fresh flowers and artistic planting designs including trends in the industry.

Day 1 - 29th of October 9:30 - 16:00
Designer Barbara Shakespeare, N.D.S.F  F.S.F.  M.F.
Funeral Tributes - This will be the presentation and preparation of artistic funeral designs suitable for specific requests.  Barbara will be crafting and preparing bases by hand shapes, design and flowering accordingly. Students will need to bring any suitable equipment with regards to craft knife and accessories they may like to use.

Day 2 - 30th of October 9:15 - 16:00
Designer Geoffrey Hughes, M.F.
Funeral Home Tributes - This morning session will be specifically to an arrangement that will be placed within the funeral home;  this could be a church, a crematorium, a wake venue or a pre-home venue.
After the class, cars will leave for a retail visit in Bristol.

Day 3  -  31th  of October 9:15 - 16:00
Designer Geoffrey Hughes, M.F.
Pleasure stoles / scarfs  - Those are becoming very fashionable in continental Europe as clothes accessories for functions both evening and daytime.  For example, weddings, gala dinner or sports meetings.  The designer will put together various ways of achieving these attractive accessories. We have done handbags, hats, body flowers and jewellery in the past.  It will be fun to tackle this new concept in floral design.

Day 4 - 1st of November 9:15 - 16:00
Designer Geoffrey Hughes, M.F. and Barbara Shakespeare, N.D.S.F  F.S.F.  M.F.
Planted Designs - In this section we will explore the different possibilities of plant materials whilst appropriating the design to a functional piece, such as a living wall hanging, a sculptural arrangement for a business or serviced area, even a simple table design using many different textures and product's available. This is all different from what you can buy of the shelf and the sort of thing you can stand out Hanging frame arrangementwith as an individual designer.

Our teaching pattern is hands on and  intensive.  We send all the students away with the satisfaction of being able to work and deliver designs for themselves.
